Old Waverley Hotel, Edinburgh

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were considerably large with a spectacular view of the Scott's Monument and the city, but the noise level was a little disruptive at times. Despite some disturbances, the comfortable bed allowed me to sleep well after the initial noise-filled night.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms, although not very clean with hairs in the bed, were really comfortable, clean, and quiet. I did notice another room with no number on it, which I think could have been staff quarters, but the good view and the bathtub were a welcome treat for foot-weary tourists.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location, perfect for exploring both the New Town and Old Town of the city. The rooms, although a bit small, were nice and clean with good facilities. The staff, particularly in the restaurant, were very helpful and friendly. However, the dining experience fell a bit short with limited fresh fruit options. My stay at the hotel was a mix of ups and downs. The power shower in the room was fantastic, but the view of an old dirty fire escape through the small, slam window was quite disappointing.
